He retained this position until April 2009. From May 2008 to June 2013, Dato' Sri Abdul Wahid Omar served as the President and CEO of the Maybank Group. Deputy President of Maybank and Head of Global Banking Datuk Abdul Farid Alias was named President & CEO of Maybank Group on August 2, 2013.
