In Malaysia, PwC employs more than 3,000 people in seven locations (i.e. Kuala Lumpur, Pulau Pinang, Ipoh, Melaka, Johor Bahru, Labuan, and Kuching) who are dedicated to solving the complex problems businesses are facing today's changing market place.

Your role

Job description & summary

At a certain point in your studies, you are making decisions about your future career considering all kinds of information and listening to friends and close people, but there is nothing like your own experience. An internship at PwC not only offers an opportunity to build your skills and confidence, but also to work on client projects that give you insight into who PwC is and what they do whether for their clients, the economy, or the wider community.

Working alongside specialists in your chosen business area, you’ll be a valued member of the team, with graduate-level responsibility. You’ll be assigned to client projects to develop your understanding of what they do and you’ll build networks with your colleagues and peer groups. Whichever business area you choose, they're sure you’ll find this a worthwhile investment of your time. Be it the clients; the people; the networks; or the social events, you’ll be surprised at the skills you’ll develop and how much you’ll learn. Opportunity is at the heart of a career at PwC and their Internship offers just that.

Responsibilities

As an Intern/Trainee, you will:

  • Support the Academy team to set physical classes for training
  • Upload attendance reports, cost allocations for the training, basic e-Learns troubleshooting, and following up with the learners to complete Mandatory eLearn
  • Other ad-hoc tasks (if required).

Training & development

When collaborating with experts in your selected business domain, you’ll become a valued team member, assuming responsibilities at the graduate level. Your assignments will involve client projects, allowing you to deepen your understanding of their work and establish connections with colleagues and peers. Regardless of the business area you choose, PwC assures you that this experience will be a rewarding investment of your time. Whether it’s interacting with clients, networking with people, participating in social events, or honing your skills, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the growth and learning opportunities. At PwC, opportunity lies at the core of your career, and their internship program embodies just that.

Benefits

Aside from getting an attractive allowance, by joining this internship at PwC Malaysia, you will also get the following benefits:

  • Mentoring & coaching by PwC Professionals
  • Exposure to real projects and PwC clients
  • Networking with other PwC people from various backgrounds and/or around the globe
  • Opportunity to work full-time with PwC

Career progression

At PwC, their internship program is highly regarded in the business community. As an intern (or “Vocational Employee” as they call it), you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, develop new skills, and gain exposure to real-world work. During your internship, you’ll engage in challenging and relevant tasks, attend networking events, and receive guidance from a supervisor. Depending on the business needs and your performance, you may be offered a full-time position with the firm upon completion of your internship.
