Carsome Academy is an institution offering Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM) certifications accredited by the Department of Skills Development (Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran, JPK) under the Ministry of Human Resources.
As a Sistem Latihan Dual Nasional (SLDN) training center, the Academy offers 30% theoretical lessons, followed by 70% industrial training at any Carsome Inspection Centers in Malaysia. Graduates are awarded the SKM Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Inspection, a certification recognized by Malaysian technical industries.

In September, 2021, a couple filed a negligence suit against an online second-hand car dealer and a financial institution over the purchase of a vehicle that was reportedly stolen. As a result, Mohd Zulikram Shamsidi, an engineer, and his wife Nor Saidatul Wanida Mohd Hazani, said they went through pain and suffering, financial loss and were deprived of the use of the car.
